High Quality Bai He: what does it look like?

High quality Bai He (Lilium brownii) is a dried bulb that is white in color, with a mild, sweet aroma.

How is Bai He prepared and processed?

Bai He is an herb native to China, Japan, and Korea. The optimal growing conditions for Bai He include: full sun, well-drained soil, and a moist environment. The plant prefers a cool climate and temperatures between 10 and 25 °C (50 and 77 °F).

The Bai He plant is a perennial herb that grows from a bulb. It has long, narrow leaves and produces white, fragrant flowers on tall stalks. The bulbs of the plant are used for medicinal purposes and known for their cooling properties and to moisten the lung and stop coughing.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Bai He is processed by cleaning, peeling, slicing and then drying. The dried slices can be used for decoctions, powders, or pills. The dried lily bulb is also often made into a tea.
