Gou Ji (Cibotium, East Asian Tree Fern Rhizome, Scythian Lamb Rhizome); Cibotii Barometz (L) J. Sm.; Rhizoma Cibotii 

A Yang tonic, Cibotium is used for much the same reasons that many other herbs in this category are used: Promoting healing of bones and ligaments from injury. Tonic to the Kidneys, Cibotium is bitter and sweet, and has a warm energy in nature.
