I bought the one pound herb pack. It arrived and was VERY aromatic. If you or someone in your home is aroma sensitive, making the brew is a garage job. It came as a rough grind which helped divide the packet into half gallon portions. The packet was rich in color, aroma and smelled very fresh. I got some of the mixture my hands during the separation and felt a strong tingling/burning sensation. Nothing major. After a month in the vodka, the herbs seem to have dissolved for the most part, can’t really tell as it is such a deep, rich muddy red color. I tried some on my hands to check if it maybe I was a little allergic to something in it because of the previous burning. After a month in the vodka I experienced zero negative effects. My guess is the straight herbal blend is just too intense for direct contact. I plan on at least another month before I start using the brew. Will post my experience then.

This is by far my favorite Jow formula I have ever used. The effect is almost immediate and long lasting. I will be ordering more of this particular product soon, because I use so much of it. Lawrence Ramirez Sifu, Pacific Wing Chun

I have used many jows over the years and this is I’ve of the best. I’ve shared it with many people, and young batches of this (under a year) compare with three year batches of other recipes I’ve made. Though I’ve used many recipes, this is now in my top three. Thank you for making it available. Recommended for all closed injures, martial arts related or not.

I am very satisfied with this formula. . For Palm training I notice an increase In energy flow to the hands and fast recovery in between workouts. After several months. it has developed a very nice scent and probably has grown stronger in potency I’m Sure.

This is because when we ported all the comments over from the old site to the new site, they all came over on the same day and for some reason attached to our web developer’s email address. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to find a way to restore the original dates and email addresses. They are all, however, authentic and unique reviews from our customers.

I am extremely satisfied with this product and will have no second thoughts recommending it to anyone. I am a runner in the process of training for a marathon. I get the normal aches and pains all runners experience but had noticed a more consistent aggravation in my lower abdominal region. The pain was not enough to make me stop training but had grown steadily worse over a 6 week period. I tried exercising my core muscles more and changed my stretching routine but to no avail. This product was recommended to me from a family member and over a two week period of applying twice a day, the issue is completely gone. In the process I also strained my hamstring while running long distance in extreme cold. I used this product on it too and I was able to continue training quickly, pain free. I found this product extremely effective and will continue to have a supply on me to assist in healing to keep my training flowing along. I’d reccommend it everyday of the week and twice on Sunday!!

I love this jow! Just bought the half gallon so I can share with everyone. I have become a jow-peddler to anyone that will listen and try it on their injuries. I am 46 and have been training in wing chun for over 5 years. My knees have been the weakest link in my training, preventing me from going all-out with kicks and shifting. The Ho family jow, along with the jeet kung do jow, have been key to healing my knees and keeping them strong. Thanks Lisa for providing such a great store and marvelous products.

***UPDATE*** I finally got to use a batch that had been maturing for over a year. I now really know what they mean by a warming jow. I have knee injuries and surguries that have resulted in chronic knee pain. I rub some on my knees before going to bed and during the night the warming sets in. The warmth relieves the pain enough to help me sleep. It helps better than anything I’ve used except pain medication, which I am trying to stay away from. It also reduces the slight swelling I may experience from normal usage of my knees. If you set up your own jow to mature, you will notice the quality of jow greatly increases with a year plus to mature. Seriously worth the wait over the jows brewed for just months. I have additional gallons maturing and with great anticipation of the 5+ year sweet spot. I will not be without this jow. Still stinks but now I look forward to the smell. 🙂
