Bai Xian Pi resolves Fire-toxicity and treats moist skin conditions with pus and yellow fluid. Dictamnus root bark can also be used to combat jaundice. Sometimes Bai Xian Pi is used for vaginal pruritus with itching, by learning the Damp-Heat. 

Like all traditional Chinese herbs, Bai Xian Pi should be used with caution, especially with topical conditions such as eczema or in patients with a history of poor liver function or liver diseases. 

Bai Xian Pi counteracts the function of Fu Ling, Bei Xie, and Jie Geng. It is most commonly combined with Fang Feng, Ku Shen, and Dang Gui to enhance the impact of treating hives and eczema, sores that itch, and rashes respectively.

Bai Xian Pi works by relieving the Damp-heat that becomes accumulated in blood vessels in flesh and muscles, as well as urine. It removes stagnation in these channels. Dictamnus Root Bark is most effective for Lower Jiao and itching Damp-Heat disorders of the skin, supporting health and clear skin.
