Lu Jiao Jiao is the gelatin extraction from the adult Deer Horn, Lu Jiao. Also a Yang tonic, Lu Jiao Jiao tonifies the Kidney and notably the essence. Lu Jiao Jiao is a strong, warm herb, but is weaker in potency than Lu Rong. Because deer antler gelatin is substantially more cost-effective, it is sometimes used as a substitution to Lu Rong.
