Mu Tong (Akebia Stem)

The traditional actions of Mu Tong are to drain dampness utilizing bitter and cold properties.  This herb has also supports the clearing of heat, smoothing the flow of blood, and freeing Bi Stagnation.  Akebia is also said to "help the communication between the heart and small intestine".
