Camellia sinensis L. Kuntze (Cha); Folium Camellia Sinensis Fermentata
Oolong tea leaves linger somewhere between the oxidation of green and black teas. Oolong or "Wu Long Cha" means “black dragon” and is simply fermented green tea leaves, and this type of tea combines the robust flavors of black teas with the lighter tastes of green teas.Wu Long tea features a complex and inherent sweetness swirled throughout a warm and inviting golden infusion. This tea is a true pleasure to drink!
The fermentation process that creates Oolong tea leaves tends to smooth out the more harsh properties of the green tea. Green tea is much colder than Oolong and this comes through in the flavor; where Oolong has a mild sweetening, woody flavor, green tea has a more popping bitterness. Both teas, however, are useful for stomach disorders and removing dampness in the form of grease and fat from the body; Wu Long tea has the added benefit of mildly reviving the Shen.
Contains caffeine.
