Literally meaning, "Star of the Southern Heavens", the treated form of Arisaema, or Jack-in-the-Pulpit, is a very strong herb to resolve phlegm and belongs to the same family as Ban Xia (Pinellia). Both herbs have a similar function.
Arisaema is also available in its bile-treated form, Dan Nan Xing.
